About Us

We are the Gamma Zeta chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon. Gamma Zeta was chartered at NIU in 1975. The chapter has grown since then and currently has twenty eight General Members. The unique dynamic of a professional yet social organization leads to great partnerships and friendships between many members. The chapter is always changing and growing, with recruitment happening every spring and fall.

Our chapter’s mascot is a penguin named Orville!

Throughout the years, Gamma Zeta has attended the Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention and competed in various competitions at the convention, which occurs each spring. In 2011, Gamma Zeta took home the award for the Top Management Team out of all 69 active chapters. Gamma Zeta was also a finalist for the Top Public Relations Strategy and the Top Marketing Research Project competitions. Along with that, three members of the chapter won scholarship money from the PSE National Scholarship Program and our president placed second in the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon competition. Check out our recent Press Release in Northern Today Here!
